2018 Cheer Coach of the Year Spotlight! Bailey Mills
Wednesday, May 2, 2018

Being awarded Coach of the Year is a title everyone aspires to achieve, but do not attain. This award goes to someone who goes above and beyond to make sure their team is the best they can be at all times. We look for someone unique, who not only portrays positive characteristics to their squad, but practices that as a lifestyle. This year we awarded Bailey Mills from DesertOasisHigh School as our AmeriCheer 2018 Coach of the Year. For many reasons, Bailey stands out from the crowd.

Coming from Las Vegas, NV, Bailey attended the Route 91 Festival and was one of the fortunate survivors. Coaching for 4 years, she has overcome a lot of emotional trauma that no one should ever endure. After only taking a week off, she jumped right back into coaching and teaching. She was able to bring her team together and persevere like no one else. She did not have quitting in mind. She is resilient and has stuck by her student athletes. She is nothing short of an inspiration and we are happy to honor Baile Mills from DesertOasisHigh School as this year’s 2018 Coach of the Year.

Congratulations Bailey!
