Dancer of the Year

Are you the next AmeriDance Dancer of the Year?

The AmeriDance Dancer of the Year Scholarship Program recognizes every nominated senior dancer from the season's Dance Classics and State Dance Classics at AmeriDance's Heartland Nationals!

The Winner Receives: 

  • $1,000 college scholarship
  • Feature spotlight article in an issue of Inside Dance
  • One year's subscription to the Inside Dance
  • Becomes a spokesperson at select AmeriDance events
  • An invitation to apply to be an AmeriDance/Eastern Dance Summer Camp Instructor  

How to Enter:

To enter, a senior dancer must attend an AmeriDance or Eastern Dance Classic or State Dance Classic to be selected as a nominee.  Then, the nominated dancer must perform a solo at AmeriDance's  Heartland Nationals and exemplify the follow criteria:

  • Outstanding dance performance and technique
  • Great enthusiasm
  • Excellent attitude
  • Currently a senior in high school in good academic standing
  • Plan to further their education at an accredited college or university
Selection is based upon criteria observed by AmeriDance at each event, as well as throught the nomination application process below.  
All nominees must complete the following application check-list and send into the AmeriDance Office by March 30th 2018.
